Position Purpose:
The Yard Hostler supports the Customer Experience Leader in processing TEL's fleet equipment through the Greenfield shop in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.

Position Responsibilities:
Continuously learn, share, and implement improvements in all processes and responsibilities as needed to enhance effectiveness of providing world class service and support.
Verify receipt of and performs a damage inspection on delivered trucks to the shop. Parks trucks as needed in a safe and orderly manner.
Hook, Drop and tow trailers as needed in a safe and orderly manner.
Compare VIN numbers of incoming trucks against driver bill of lading or delivery receipt.
Inspect parts, equipment, or trucks for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.
Inspect trucks to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed in Karmak characteristics.
Record the description of damages and lists missing items on receiving and release documents.
Use high-pressure washers and automatic truck wash for cleaning of equipment.
Clean shop and yard by sweeping shop floors, rearranging fleet equipment, or using pressure washer to clean the truck wash.
Follow all TEL Operational Procedures and QC Standards.
Fuel tractors.
Use software to adjust speed and cruise control settings on tractors.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
High School Diploma.
Valid Indiana Driver License required.
Valid CDL with current DOT physical required.
Good interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including squatting, bending, pushing and pulling.
Ability to adhere to acceptable rules, procedures and guidelines when performing duties.
Good computer skills.
High attention to detail.

Wage:
$22 to $26.45 an hour, based on experience.

Work Environment:
Body Shop / Outside environment
Extended periods of standing required
Bending, stooping, crouching, steeping as needed
