Essential requirements
- Requirements for Technical Lead (Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality)
- Must have at least 5 to 7 years in technical leadership role
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in XR solutions across a wide range of XR solutions
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or computer engineering field.
- Must have developed AR/VR solutions for at least for 2/3 years.
- Must have experience deploying AR/VR solutions for wide consumption.
- Must have led technical design and given direction to a development team toward AR/VR solutions.
- Must have experience working in a multi-vendor and multi-application environment
- Must have work throughout the software development lifecycle with a focus on operationalizing solutions.
- Ability to build relationship and a willingness to learn and develop is essential to be successful in this role. He/ she will need to proactively reach out to Business and work with architects and software engineers to gain alignment and deliver on commitment.
Experiences
- Technical Lead (Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality) - Senior software engineer that Extended Reality (XR) solutions (Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mixed Reality (MR in compliance with Chevron guardrails and industry best practice; Experience with HMDs, Android application frameworks and deployment, modern web application development, DevOps tooling, Digital Content Creation workflows (ex: Blender, Unity, 3ds Max), and familiarity with Learning Management Systems (SCORM), WebAR, and Connected Worker systems; understanding of non-functional characteristics of XR technologies, performance requirements, scaling infrastructure resources, rendering constraints, and mechanisms for consuming rich media.
- Experience with patterns for distributing and updating applications to mobile marketplaces and deploying web applications; Experience with design patterns.

- Ensure quality technical delivery, reduces technical debt and drives modernization.
- Coach engineers to build with engineering discipline through mentoring and design or code reviews,
- Advocates for automation and automated provisioning practices; reusability, testing, modularity, scalability, observability and integration.
- Effectively communicates with both technical and non-technical audiences and translates the needs of the end users to engineering team.
- Documents established patterns and adapts solutions to fit new use cases.
