Summary The MIL Corporation is seeking a highly qualified and self-motivated Windows Systems Administrator (Systems Administration, Analyst) to support the Department of Defense (DoD) National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC). This facility supports the mission to provide realistic cybersecurity environments for test and evaluation of major DoD acquisition programs and to enable the conduct of realistic training and certification events for the DoD Cyber Mission Force. The NCRC facility may also support non-DoD customers such as Department of Homeland Security (DHS), industry, academia, and international partners. This position currently requires an onsite schedule, with 5 days on-site. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements. Responsibilities Support the solutions architect and enterprise architect in service design, service transition, service operations, and interoperability of the Windows environment within a cloud and bare metal environment. Operate and maintain all development, test and production hardware and software in a Windows and Windows Server lab environment. Perform system administration activities to include account hardware, operating system, and software management. Monitor and manage the system resources (CPU, memory, disk, etc.), monitoring, alerting and auditing, vulnerability scanning, reviewing system logs, back-up and recovery, continuity of operations, security, and break/fix type incidents. Test and install operating system, COTS, and GOTS software and upgrades and patches. Remediate Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) consistent with security, information assurance, and established change control requirements. Operation and management of Virtual Machine environments including troubleshooting. Assist with creating and maintaining documentation to support the testing, installation, operations, and maintenance of all assigned physical and virtual equipment. Support basic Active Directory tasks; maintain users and groups, resetting passwords, and unlocking objects. Restore and/or reproduce current systems, applications, and data in accordance with directives and requirements for data and disaster recovery. Travel 10% - 15% to other sites as needed Required Qualifications 3 years of relevant experience Must possess DoD 8570.1 IAT II baseline certification or be able to obtain within 6 months of starting In-depth knowledge of computer systems and the Windows 2012 and newer operating systems, including installation and maintenance is required Experience in Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019 Operating Systems Strong background in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Visio Good understanding of discipline process; information and data management, configuration control Record of success in contributing to the completion of programs and projects; ability to obtain results and make key recommendations Ability to provide high level summary of results and draw conclusions based on interpretation of data VMware knowledge Must be able to interact with peers, management, and senior engineers in a constantly evolving environment to ensure a positive customer experience and atmosphere in the workplace Desired Qualifications Advanced degree (Master's) in science and technology related disciplines such as Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, and Computer Engineering, or equivalent Knowledge of DoD Information Assurance practices, including Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) Education Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education and/or advanced certification; a Master's degree will be considered in lieu of 2 years of professional experience Clearance This position requires an active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance; please note that the clearance process takes into account financial background aspects. Salary at MIL is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $70,000 - $126,500 per year.
