KeyLogic seeking a Windows Systems Administrator II to support the IT Program at a major national laboratory. This position is task based and project based. Tasks and projects will come from a variety of sources to include Email, IM, phone, ticketing systems and in person. Sometimes you will receive tasks or projects from other customers and often times you will need to self-identify tasks and projects. This position is 100% onsite and requires and active DOE Q or DOD Top Secret Clearance. Responsibilities: Perform software installs and configuration, hardware installs and configuration, software troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Use various methods to record work done (ticketing system, SharePoint, etc )
Inventory management of spare IT equipment (Computers, monitors, IT peripherals)
Advising users on Cybersecurity and other information assurance polices Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
In lieu of degree, 6 years of relevant experience is acceptable.
U.S. Citizenship is required per contract.
Must have an active U.S Department of Energy Q security clearance or DoD Top Secret security clearance with reciprocity.
Windows desktop support experience (diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, Installing and maintaining software)
Computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience (Diagnose and repair desktop and workstation class computers. Determine hardware requirements for projects and software.
Desired Skills: Self-motivated individual who can work independently on tasks and projects.
Desire to expand and grow knowledge and skillsets.
Familiarity with Windows Active Directory and associated tools for managing OU's and GPO's
Automation experience using PowerShell and Shell for Windows system administration.
Windows server experience or familiarity
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate via Email, IM, phone and in person.
Ability to execute projects from inception to completion (follow through)
Familiarity with MS office products and how to troubleshoot them.
Familiarity with basic networking principals and troubleshooting
Certifications from CompTIA (A+, Sec+, etc ) or Microsoft (role-based training certs)
Ability to investigate, implement, and communicate Cybersecurity polices to the user base and on computing systems.
Ability to apply critical thinking skills to solve custom IT projects.
