Windows System Administrator - Security & Compliance Focus Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where security and compliance are paramount? We seek a highly motivated Windows System Administrator to join our IT team and play a vital role in managing, securing, and maintaining our Windows Server infrastructure. This role is perfect for someone with a strong understanding of Windows Server administration and a commitment to ensuring our systems comply with strict security regulations, including the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Responsibilities:
Install, configure, manage, and maintain Windows Server environments (Active Directory, Group Policy, DFS, etc.)
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as patching, updates, and system health monitoring.
Troubleshoot and resolve Windows Server-related issues efficiently
Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard our systems and data
Actively participate in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for assigned systems
Work collaboratively with the Security team to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations
Develop and maintain system documentation for future reference
Assist with user provisioning, access control, and desktop support (optional) Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related technical discipline with 10+ years' experience or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience instead of a degree (16 years).
10+ years of IT experience required.
An active Top-Secret SCI with Full Scope Polygraph Clearance is required.
DoD 8570 compliance certification is required.
Experience administering Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022)
Strong understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and other core Windows Server technologies
Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell) a plus
Working knowledge of security concepts and best practices (NIST Cybersecurity Framework)
Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process (preferred)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
