We are searching for an Educational Diagnostician who is passionate about working with young people and helping them to prepare for the future. WSESU is seeking an Educational Diagnostician to be part of WEST (Windham Evaluation Support Team,) which is responsible for academic achievement evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education services. The Educational Diagnostician will work with multi-disciplinary teams to administer academic achievement assessments. They will provide teams with comprehensive evaluation results that will help to determine special education eligibility and define student learning needs, and support IEP teams to communicate evaluation outcomes with parents/families. Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and positive behavior supports is desired. Preferred applicants will have strong communication and problem-solving skills as well as a deep understanding of Vermont special education regulations and corresponding compliance paperwork. This position will follow the WSESU calendar but may include extended days/compensation for summer work. Qualified candidates must have Vermont Agency of Education licensure as a School Psychologist (or be eligible for reciprocity) or as a licensed Special Education Teacher with appropriate training and experience administering and interpreting relevant academic achievement assessments.
