About the Role:

Job Summary

Works under the guidance of the Employee Well-Being Manager in the communication, promotion, and implementation of system-wide Well-Being programs and initiatives. Coordinates the designs, development, implementation, evaluation and revision of custom-built campus- and team-based programs/initiatives to meet specific well-being needs and further system-wide well-being goals. Provides onsite support to gauge program feedback and reassess needs and reports findings back to Employee Well-Being Manager. Cultivates an environment conducive to optimizing the experience of providing competent, compassionate care, with a focus on creating programs that help mitigate the factors of concurrent barriers to one's individual well-being. The position serves as a content expert for individual and program-based interventions that develop any of the eight domains of well-being - physical, mental, spiritual, occupational, social, financial, environmental, and intellectual. This position is responsible for tracking and reporting on agreed upon metrics specific to Employee Well-Being Manager in order to be distributed across the organization. Will serve as a resource liaison, lead champion groups, and serve as a member of various councils and committees where appropriate. Assists the Manager of Employee Well-Being and Director of Benefits with other projects as assigned.



Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Licensure or other certifications:

  • Educational Requirements: Bachelors degree in Psychology, Sociology, Integrative Health, Exercise Sciences, or behavioral health-related field.

  • Minimum Experience: Three or more years in health-care and/or wellness related fields.

Preferred Job Qualifications

  • Preferred Licensure or other certifications: Health and Well-Being Coaching Certification; Or other certification in a related field.

  • Preferred Educational Requirements: Graduate level education.

  • Preferred Experience: Experience in group/team-based coaching, intervention research, and/or program design and implementation.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assess the needs of staff through well-being onsite support, specialized groups, and ongoing communications with key stakeholders

  • Demonstrates an understanding of and serves as a specialist for evidence-based models for behavior change, conflict resolution, and effective communication strategies and competently applies these concepts to workplace well-being strategies for growth.

  • Ensures coordination, synergy and integration with system-wide employee well-being activities and serves as a liaison for staff access to internal resources such as Employee Benefits, Employee Assistance Program, and Spiritual Care.

  • Analyzes custom-built programs and initiatives targeted for staff based upon staff/leader feedback and quantitative and qualitative metrics and creatively adapts programs/initiatives to meet specific needs.

  • Communicates directly with staff throughout the system, by rounding, email, scheduled meetings, specialized groups, and other social outlets.

  • Assesses current and emerging staff well-being and work life programs and develops training and educational activities based upon acceptance of these programs.

  • Secures program participation through onsite marketing and communications of the system- and campus-wide programs and initiatives to support adoption of activities and improved sense of well-being among the staff.

  • Assists with, plans and organizes, and attends Well-Being Fairs, marketing tables, offsite events, etc. with respect to promoting a culture of well-being amongst staff and in the community.

  • Demonstrates sound problem-solving and analytic skills, and the employment of evidence-based critical thinking and judgment in both clinical and educational situations.

  • Competently demonstrates professionalism in all interactions.

  • Manages personal and professional conflicts quickly and effectively. Resolves customer service issues in a timely and effective manner.
