Our client was featured on Manufacturing Marvels on the Fox Business Network for their work with decorative architecture, stay cable components, and the heat treating industry. Also featured in Crains Business Magazine, our client's latest work was erected for a Park Avenue Exhibit on Park Avenue in New York City.

Location: Elyria, OH
Shift: 1 st (7 am to 3:30 pm with OT as needed)
Salary: $17 to $20 an hour based on experience
Responsibilities
- Positions and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications.
- Determines required equipment, welding method and welding techniques.
- Develops templates and other work aids to hold and align parts.
- Ignites torch and adjusts valves, amperage, or voltage to obtain desired flame or arc on welder.
- Tack-welds or welds components and assemblies. Primarily TIG welding, some MIG welding.
- Heats, forms, and dresses metal parts, using hand tools, torch, or arc welding equipment.
- Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Removes rough spots from work piece, using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.
- Inspects grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Pay and Shift info - Starting pay is $17-$20/hr BOE, with performance based increase given upon permanent hire.
- 1 st shift 7am 330pm, with ability to work OT weekly. This could include 9-10 hour days and/or Saturdays
- Temp to Hire opportunity with the company.
Skills/Qualifications - 5 years' experience in TIG welding working with material such as carbon steel, stainless steel, titanium, and others.
- Experience with MIG welding is a plus.
- Be able to read and follow a blueprint, read a tape measure, and perform basic math.
- Will need to have flexibility to cross train and help in Cleveland (West side) plant for short periods of time.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Will be subject to a 10-panel drug screen and other pre-employment screening.
- Must be a non-smoker
