ECHO is hiring a Welder Sales Specialist. The Welder Sales Specialist will be responsible for selling and showcasing the optimal utilization of our Shindaiwa Diesel Welder Generators to both our established and recently onboarded dealers. The Welder Sales Specialist will travel 60%. The Welder Sales Specialist will be issued a company vehicle and must maintain a clean driving record. This remote position will be based out of Lake Zurich, IL.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, internet web sites, and other sources.
Establishes selling, servicing, and rental dealers to achieve high market penetration through development of all appropriate companies and major contractors in assigned territory.
Travels through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers at the dealer location or communicates by phone, text, or email.
Demonstrates operation and illustrates the features and benefits of machinery at customer work site.
Supports the sales team to complete price quotes along with credit and freight terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
Enters complete and accurate sales orders for all products sold.
Develops and maintains relationships with all key contacts at each customer location.
Attends trade shows and assists with the set-up and removal of displays as needed.
Maintains and provides requested reporting.
Performs other duties that may be assigned.

Job Experience/Skills:

3-5 years' experience with welders, welding technology, methods, and the ability to weld.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.
Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instruction furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
Must possess a working knowledge of computers and business software such as Microsoft Office for communication and analysis of information.

Education: Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred but will consider work-related experience.

Travel: Must be able to travel 60% domestically.
