ATSS Engineering has a client in Metairie or Lockport, LA looking for a Weight Control Engineer.
The ideal candidate must possess a B.S. degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience in vessel design development, structural design, auxiliary systems design for marine crafts such as patrol vessels, offshore supply vessels, tugs, and barges, in addition to for technical management of weight changes to vessels as they mature from baseline to the product.
Excellent communication and leadership skills are a must in addition to familiarity with ABS, CFR, USCG, SOLAS, IMO and other applicable regulations.
Experience with AutoCAD, FEA, GHS, Rhino software is desirable.
Must be able to balance schedule and work on multiple projects in addition to working within a fast-paced environment.
