Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm - 7:30am

Job Objective:

G.S. Precision is looking for a self-motivated and flexible Water Jet Operator. This position will oversee and operate FLOW and OMAX model Water Jet machines in a production environment, working closely with engineering teams, to yield parts to customer drawings and specifications.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for Water Jet operations related to quantity production of identical units.
  • Operate FLOW and OMAX model brand Water Jet machines with customer drawing and specifications.
  • Cut and handle high quality, precision parts and tooling from a variety of materials.
  • Perform inspections and verifications of the products measurements and dimensions.
  • Responsible for the safe Start/Stop, Load/Feed and monitor operation of the machines.
  • Maintain a safe and clean/organized work environment as part of a cohesive team.
  • Complete necessary transactions and scans for each job process to include paperwork with proper descriptions.
  • Able to perform Preventative Maintenance checks daily at the operator level including power-up, operations checks and pumping while notifying Maintenance of significant deficiencies.
  • Ensure the work orders and materials are of acceptable quantity.
  • Ensure we meet or exceed customer specifications as outlined on the manufacturing order/print.
Requirements: Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of FLOW and OMAX Water Jet machines and associated tooling, or ability to learn.
  • Possess mechanical knowledge and aptitude i.e. ability to replace nozzles, tubes, and other components as needed.
  • Experience and/or ability to learn to read engineering schematics and blueprints.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a manufacturing team to maintain product quality and consistent output.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy plate metal into Water Jet beds.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time up to and sometimes exceeding 60 minute intervals.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. in a physically demanding environment.
