Job Description

Under the general direction of the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Lead will be responsible for assisting in managing all shipping, receiving, inventory, and fleet aspects of the warehouse. The position will work closely with the purchasing department and sales teams to ensure the smooth operation of the shipping and receiving areas.

Responsibilities:

Lead shipping and receiving team members as needed.Lead the development of and adherence to department practices and procedures.

Evaluate current shipping/receiving policies and procedures, review and analyze shipping methods for improvements in efficiencies, and control costs.

Ensure adherence to all regulations relating to the shipment and handling of hazardous materials.

Monitor compliance to weight restrictions on trucks and maximum skid counts

Assist in creating load sheets and ensuring proper paperwork for deliveries.

Understand all aspects of an ERP system, Kuebix TMS, and Digital Shipper manifesting software.

Design and monitor metrics and examine current processes to take steps for improvement and cost reduction.

Monitor inventory and locations when supply and demand changes

Maintain all company facilities and fleet in safe working order.

Make suggestions on warehouse organization and structure.

Contribute to building a quality work environment at the Company by taking initiative, respecting others, and being a team player. Following the policies and procedures in the company handbook, and using good communication by listening and sharing information to enable others to do their jobs more effectively. Use proper language and etiquette, set a good example and treat the customer with respect and appreciation. Exceed Expectations.

Assist in the development and implementation of an effective APQP process during new product development.

Work with Corporate Quality Manager to research customer complaints and develop more robust corrective actions and subsequent preventive actions.

Establish "In-process Inspection Procedures" when required.

Certifies daily release of inspected parts to the customer.

Acts as inter-departmental liaison.

Assist with Product, Process, Internal and External auditing.
