Join the IPD Team We are seeking a full-time Warehouse Inventory Supervisor to support our team in Carson. In this role, you will oversee and manage all aspects of inventory control within the facility of a distribution center that specializes in aftermarket engine components. This includes supervising the material process flow, maintaining accurate physical and digital inventory, monitoring materials, ensuring equipment is in working order, creating, and maintaining reporting dashboards and supervising various teams.

A. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Material Process Flow:

  • Oversees and optimizes the flow of materials from receiving to primary/overstock locations.
  • Documents, creates, and improves processes as needed to optimize material process flow.
  • Organizes and stocks inventory for fast, efficient pulling and shipping, keeping aisles clear of material.
  • Makes necessary adjustments to operations and flows to improve reliability and quality.
  • Ensures all received products are put away on the same day.

Inventory Maintenance:

  • Supervises and ensures that inventory (quantity and locations) is accurately maintained and updated in real time.
  • Performs inventory reconciliation and conducts audits/cycle counts to validate counts and locations, utilizing SP and GP research as needed.
  • Confirms inventory transactions are accurate.
  • Monitors and manages material inventories, both inventory and non-inventory items, to ensure optimal stock levels.

Equipment:

  • Maintains machines in working order.
  • Keeps safety logs up to date for all machines.

Reporting:

  • Creates and maintains reporting dashboards.
  • Highlights key performance indicators (KPIs) such as receiving put away, inventory levels, and cycle times.

Periodic Functions:

  • Develops and/or submits reports as needed.
  • Develops and delivers presentations as needed.
  • Occasional travel to branches as needed - less than 10%
  • Other duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervises material handler, receiving, and cycle count teams for both the first and second shifts.
  • Provides guidance, training, and performance management to ensure the effectiveness and productivity of the teams.
