Job Summary: We are looking for a warehouse associate with responsibilities as a backup / occasional box truck driver. You'll be at the center of our state-of-the-art sharpening center where we sharpen and process 40,000+ knives and blades for our customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plan, schedule and execute all distribution services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, maintenance and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met. Maintains quality compliance.
• Ensure that the shipping schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are completed properly. Apply sound communication to carrier base as well as receiving facilities.
• Ensure that customer orders are picked and shipped in a timely fashion within prescribed cost levels. Develop and implement an effective receiving operation that minimizes cost and ensures receiving paperwork is processed accurately and promptly.
• Checks and unloads inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product and picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with high level of productivity.
• Verify required inbound/outbound paperwork
• Counts/verifies and records all product coming into or shipping out of the building, ensuring that all product is properly counted.
• Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts. Ensure the optimal utilization of dock space.
• Records: Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Monitor the cleanliness and working condition of all equipment and the facility.
• Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining warehouse security. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety; ensure compliance in accordance with OSHA and other appropriate standards.
Ability to drive 26 FT box truck as needed.

Requirements:
Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Ability to pick, pack, load, and put away boxes up to 50 pounds.
Good computer skills.
Requires bending, standing for 3 hours at a time, sitting, ladder climbing, reaching and pulling.
Having DOT is a plus, but not required. Willingness to attain DOT is necessary.
