VTC schedulers/technicians must have expertise in scheduling VTC sessions in VTC bridges, as well as hands-on experience with debugging the interoperation of VTC bridges and end points. Typical duties include: 9am thru 6pm work week schedule (Monday thru Friday, Weekly) On call for any additional requirements based on Clients request for after hours and weekend work schedule. Review VTC user request, schedule and manage VTC sessions. Provide pre-conference testing and setup for video teleconferences and/or meetings. Ensure full interoperability and a seamless connection between all internal and external systems to include, but not limited to, DISN Video Services - Global (DVS-G), NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and JWICS. Installing, configuring, and maintaining VTC endpoints Installing and configuring VTC application and system software and upgrades Analyze, test, modify and manage VTC infrastructure, such as MCUs and gatekeepers. Monitor and respond to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques. Troubleshooting and repairing hardware and network connectivity issues. Logistical knowledge and experience. Removing old equipment and performing data migration to new machines. Closing out of proper documentations for accountability and turn-in Provide technical support and training to end-users. Administrative Processing - For Specific DV Events Logistical Processing- For Specific Conference / Ceremony Events Requirements: 2 thru 4 years of experience supporting and operating Virtual Teleconferencing Communication (VTC) Ability and capability to trouble shoot simple to complex VTC hardware and equipment. Have a current understanding of military and US Gov't personnel and organization. Current US Passport, ability to travel to South Americas to support the mission. (Travel time is approximately 5% -15% yearly in a given work week) Consistently maintain and sustain a neat, clean orderly appearance daily and during all work performed. Ability to effectively communicate and articulate in short concise and to the point dialogue. TCs in Government environment, as well as troubleshooting and fixing VTC hardware and software (e.g., Cisco, Polycom). SECRET Security clearance (at least Interim) required to start, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI (LVL5) within 6-9 months of employment start date. DoD 8570 IAT Lvl I certification (e.g. Security+ CE, etc.) within 3 months after start date. Able to lift 40lbs, no physical limitations Educational Requirements: An Associate Degree from an accredited college. Additional experience will be greatly considered in lieu of formal education on a case-by-case basis.
