About the Role

Caribou is seeking a VP, Strategic Partnerships & Business Development to manage and grow our credit affiliates and partnership channels. Reporting directly to Caribou's President, you will play a crucial role in building strategic relationships within the affiliate & partnerships space, and have a meaningful impact on Caribou's overall growth trajectory.

In this role, you will

  • Manage our relationships with credit affiliates (Credit Karma, LendingTree, Nerdwallet, etc.) and own channel and program performance
  • Leverage problem solving and influencing skills to ensure alignment with our partners and delivery against shared goals and roadmaps
  • Sell into new partnerships and co-develop strategies to grow partners' Auto-Refinance program
  • Lead a large cross functional team internally charged with executing our plans
  • Operate in a high velocity organization and hold team to high standards

This role can be based out of our Caribou office in Denver, CO. Alternatively, this role may work remotely from a state where Caribou operates, with a preference for the Chicago, IL, Denver, CO or San Francisco, CA markets.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, finance, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in affiliate partner or marketing operations leadership, preferably in a start-up fintech or financial services context
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with partners and internal stakeholders
  • Thought leader with successful track record of communicating effectively with senior leadership
  • Quantitative mindset with experience using data to identify trends and make informed decisions
  • Knowledge of the financial industry and regulatory landscape
  • Experience with partner management tools and systems
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills
