VP, Sales Engineer - Kantar Marketplace

What you'll be doing
  • Generate new sales revenue for KMP across New Logo, Core, Strategic accounts as well as brining in new clients to Kantar
  • Responsible for all aspects of the sale after the contact has been established, from lead qualification, the RFP and proposal development process, collaborating with internal teams to do feasibility of using Kantar Marketplace products, structuring the deal, proposal, pitching and tell a differentiated story using the Kantar Blue Print for Brand Growth, plays a lead client-facing role from initial discovery through to win, proposal timeline management, negotiations, procurement, winning, detailing findings from deals not won and thorough hand over after a win
  • Partners with KMP and Kantar BDRs and sales reps in scoping out how Kantar Marketplace can be used within the prospect's organization, in particular mapping out use cases, partners, proposal strategy
  • Assist the New Logo tea with closing accounts that could include a Kantar Marketplace product, and the Core Account sales team with cross-selling to existing accounts
  • Assist the Strategic Client Partners find opportunities to demonstrate Kantar Marketplace, and help to build winning proposals and increase win rates
  • With Sales, qualify opportunities for Kantar Marketplace for resource allocation and planning purposes
  • Maintains sales pipeline, forecasts revenues, and provides regular activity reports to management; uses internal systems (Salesforce, Maconomy, etc) to track sales activity
  • Delve into the client's business challenges and processes, and identifies any opportunities, risks, or issues that need to be considered during the sales process
  • Collaborates with sales reps to develop proposal and pitch materials and develop pricing strategies
  • Creates best in class training materials to scale your knowledge
  • Understanding key value propositions to partners within an organization, from Director level staff to the CMO
  • Plans and implements proof of concepts and technical validations, ensuring that all partners are engaged and informed throughout the process
  • Keeps internal partners (Client Service, Client Partners, Portfolio Managers) informed and involved, ensuring that momentum is maintained with the client, and next steps are clearly defined
  • Ensures a thorough handover of the client to the team responsible for onboarding and implementation
  • Understands financial implications (gross margin, job profit, operating profit, forecasting, pipeline management) and negotiate pricing with a client/decision maker directly

The skills & expereince needed
  • 10+ years' experience as a solution delivery or client delivery lead in any of the following areas: brand strategy, brand guidance, creative, innovation and media measurement services, marketing analytics
  • Shown experience delivering technical demonstrations in an engaging way. Draws on examples and insights to highlight the value of the product and the benefit it will bring to the client
  • Track record communicating a technical subject matter to a diverse range of partners (technical and non-technical) with experience tailoring content based on the audience
  • Ability to interpret a wide-range of information and use findings to draw conclusions and design scalable and expandable solutions
  • Self-motivated with relentless energy to find new opportunities in efficiently helping clients with real-world business benefits
  • Ability to ask thoughtful questions that result in significant insights, probes in a way that leads people to step outside their approach, unearths difficulties and elicit new ideas
  • Tenacious personality and endless curiosity to what more can be done and the solutions we provide
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, driver of change and transformation
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

The salary range for this role in New York is $141,800 - $236,300. Your final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
