VP Professional Services

Job Description

The VP, Professional Services is responsible for leading and managing the migration of data, applications, and infrastructure from legacy systems to modern cloud-based solutions. The VP, Professional Services oversees the planning, execution, and evaluation of customer migration projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to customer business operations. The VP, Professional Services also collaborates with other senior leaders, stakeholders, and vendors to align migration strategies with business goals and objectives.

Manage and socialize a comprehensive migration strategy implementing controls, tracking, and reporting to assess the health of migrations catching, raising, and mitigating issues early.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive shared sense of ownership for smooth migration outcomes. Set the foundation for predictable and repeatable migration excellence.

Drive a calm, collaborative sense of urgency around migration issues; facilitate RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for issues and implement comprehensive solutions to pain points that consider stakeholder needs.

Develop and implement migration policies, procedures, and best practices for data, applications, and infrastructure.

Manage and coordinate migration teams, resources, and activities across multiple customer projects and locations.

Ensure compliance with security, quality, and regulatory standards and requirements for migration projects.

Communicate and collaborate with senior management, business units, IT departments, and external vendors to ensure alignment and integration of migration solutions.

Evaluate and recommend migration tools, technologies, and methodologies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness of migration processes.

Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to migration staff and consultants.

Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in migration and cloud computing.
