SUMMARY OBJECTIVE:

Support the relationship management (rm) team by assisting in various procedural duties relating to (I) prospect and borrower underwriting, (II) new loan documentation and origination, and (III) portfolio and customer maintenance. Resolve all financial, administrative and operational issues affecting new and existing customers, as well as internal departments. Position will require interaction with customers and the ability to recognize cross-sell opportunities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Collaborate with the Relationship Manager and Commercial Banking Assistant in underwriting process, including the preparation of situation pages, credit exposure packages, reviewing checklists, collecting pertinent financial information and industry data and any other information as assigned.

2. Interact with various third-party vendors such as equipment appraisers, legal counsel and CPA's to follow-up, review and clarify information and documentation.

3. Review prepared commitment letters, term sheets, collateral documentation and other forms of customer and prospect correspondence for accuracy and compliance.

4. Participate in meetings with the Relationship Manager and Commercial Banking Assistant regarding the pre-closing review process by reviewing forms prepared for accuracy and fulfillment of all requirements.

5. Participate in and/or conducts loan closings as assigned.

6. Analyze cash flows for prospective borrowers.

7. Collaborate with Relationship Manager and Commercial Banking Assistant in clearing any post closing documentation exceptions involving customer or outside vendor interaction.

8. Complete loan officer review forms, asset quality reviews and property re-evaluations based on information supplied by Relationship Manager looking to identify credit risks to the bank.

9. Review delinquency and maturity reports and assist Relationship Manager in solving potential problems and follow up as assigned.

10. Review letters of credit, real estate, business loans, line of credit renewals and loan modifications prior to processing as assigned.

11. Collect items needed to clear financial exceptions and documentation exceptions as assigned.

12. Attend credit committee and discount committee meetings as scheduled.

13, Provide direct support for bank participations, indirect lending programs and government guarantee programs.

14. Interpret program regulations, underwriting criteria, credit, documentation and servicing processes of bank participations, indirect lending programs and government guarantee programs as assigned.

15. Deliver exceptional internal and external customer service.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position requires no supervision of employees.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers or clients accurately, loudly, or quickly; 3) Hearing - perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with/without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make the discriminations in sound. 4) Specific vision abilities required by this job include viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading and moderate traveling.

Sedentary work may require occasionally lifting of up to 10 pounds and/or move up to 25 pounds. This work involves sitting most of the time with walking and sitting.

REQUIRED/ PREFFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business or economics (with a heavy concentration of accounting) or equivalent education and experience, with a minimum of eight (8) years of related industry experience is required.
