Atss has a client in Mississippi looking for VP/Controller
Position consists of directing the divisions financial activities which consist of preparing budgets, cost controls, financial analysis, forecasts and accounting functions in addition to managing the accounting and business management departments. Will work closely with department managers, general manager and senior managers to maximize profitability and ensure adherence to corporate financial policies. Also, will act as a contact with company and governmental authorities including SUPSHIP and Defense Contract Audit Agency. The position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer of the company.
The requirements are as follows:
- 10+ years of proven accounting experience including five (5) years within a supervisor or leadership role.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Experienced in working with the Federal Acquisition Regulations requirements within the financial aspects of government projects.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP, CAS, principles, practices, analytical procedures and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to multi-task and handle large volumes of work.
- Ability to effectively implement processes and drive change.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical and problems solving skills.
- Proficiency in using MS Office applications (MS Excel, MS Word, etc.) and general accounting software.
- CPA, CMA and/or MBA designations are preferred.
