Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Vice President of Finance to lead our financial operations and provide strategic guidance to ensure the long-term financial health of the organization. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a critical role in supporting our mission by ensuring the responsible stewardship of our financial resources.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, financial reporting, and risk management.

Develop and implement a comprehensive financial plan aligned with the organization's strategic goals.

Lead the annual budget process, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support program delivery.

Oversee the finance team, fostering a culture of professionalism, accuracy, and efficiency.

Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking institutions.

Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) standards.

Provide financial analysis and reporting to the CEO, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.

Identify and implement strategies to maximize revenue generation and cost control.

Stay abreast of current trends in nonprofit finance and recommend innovative solutions for financial sustainability.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).

Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role within a non-profit organization.

Proven track record of developing and implementing sound financial strategies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with staff at all levels, the Board of Directors, and external partners.

Deep understanding of non-profit accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting tools.
