Job Summary The Vice President, Planning Network and Engineering (PNE) will oversee the standardization and centralization of processes for the Optimum network planning aspects across the footprint. The VP will ensure that there is a consistent approach across the footprint to how the organization determines and proceeds with planning initiatives. This role will rely heavily on cross-functional partnership to assess all the right data points and strategic initiatives to identify key aspects of planning for the network and engineering organization. The VP will also have responsibility for being the "expert opinion" by the organization on managing both the short-term and long-term planning aspects with a goal of a regular 3-year plan. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of broadband construction, be deeply steeped in process project management and detailed analysis, and comfortable in a highly matrixed organization. Responsibilities Function as the expert opinion on proceeding forward with network planning and engineering elements Ensuring design has appropriate hands-off and key functional groups are looped in on decision making (government affairs, community relations, construction, plant operations, strategic planning, etc.) Oversee the matrixed management of ROI assessment on planning inclusive of management of the infastructure and network architecture Build and maintain an amplified funnel of at least 2x the anticipated execution with a 3+ year strategy being cognizant of the overall strategy for the organization and key milestones Partner with VP GMs for specific segmentation of the geographies and intelligence on a multi-year view for the planning handoffs - recommending the best technology for this area Act as the point person and liaison across the organization for ensuring all departments are aligned on construction direction and decision making Oversee the project management of construction projects regularly partnering with the field operations leadership teams across construction, field, ISP/OSP and business compliance to ensure all parties are aware of progress, risks and challenges Ensure that projects are aligned to strategic vision for the larger organization Partner with key leaders to regularly ensure projects are being prioritized appropriately Drive and champion ensuring that the organization leans into a optimized and standardized approach to construction Function as the checks and balances for what is occurring across construction vs. what is planned, ensuring to raise concerns and flags Qualifications Bachelor with 20+ years of telecommunications background; or Masters' with 15+ years 10+ years of project management or planning background Technical Construction or Engineering leadership in a telecommunication company required Deep knowledge of MSO broadband operations, with a mix of Construction, NOC, ISP, OSP and Field Ops preferable Knowledge of both fiber and HFC networks required Knowledge of requirements to build or to enhance across the footprint Demonstrated success in leading technical operations and process improvements Successful creation and implementation of world-class engineering, network, and service operations organization Track record demonstrated through clearly identifiable metrics and a natural orientation towards measurements, numbers, and accountability Detail oriented with a strong understanding of data analysis Altice USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to recruiting, hiring and promoting qualified people of all backgrounds regardless of gender, race, color, creed, national origin, religion, age, marital status, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, military or veteran status, or any other basis protected by federal, state, or local law.
