OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

Fox TV StationsFOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content. JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX 13 / FOX Local / , the Fox Owned and Operated duopoly in Seattle, WA (DMA ) is in search of a Vice President of Marketing/Creative Services. The ideal candidate will shape the marketing plan for the duopoly stations and digital platforms. We are looking for someone with a strong creative edge - who own the creative framework and execution for key concepts and groundbreaking campaigns that really work. Someone with a fearless attitude and a strong desire to win. Experience in social media and public relations, digital marketing and managing budgets is essential. Media/Journalism background is a big plus.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following duties.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement differentiated and impactful marketing strategies, campaigns, and materials.

  • Identify our specific customer base and how news media is being consumed in the Seattle DMA.

  • Develop strategies to grow digital streaming platforms.

  • Direct and support market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data for short- and long-term market forecasts and reports.

  • Work closely with the Sales and News departments to align sales and marketing strategies.

  • Manage marketing budget and expenditures.

  • Maintain brand standards and ensure compliance across all marketing and communications channels.

  • Identify competitors and evaluate their strategies and positioning and devise counterstrategies.

  • Understand Nielsen ratings system and Comscore system and use them effectively in creating marketing campaigns and informing news on strategic direction.

  • Develop, inspire, and manage the Marketing & Creative Services department and ensure a safe, productive environment.

  • Create a collaborative marketing environment where innovation and original ideas thrive.

  • Provide creative counsel and direction to internal and external customers and clients.

  • Demonstrate responsibility for all equipment issued by FOX.

  • Comply with all FOX Corporate computer requirements.

  • Comply with all FOX Corporate and station policies.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.

  • Proven negotiation skills.

  • Strong knowledge of local television operations (emphasis on local news), branding campaigns, digital marketing and digital content strategy that engage viewers and users.

  • Proven track record of creating high-quality work - from script writing to art direction, producing, music, and voice-over selection, animation, and graphics.

  • Must possess strong industry relationships, knowledge of industry standards, and best practices.

  • Self-starter with ability to multitask, operate within budgetary and schedule constraints, and thrive in a collaborative environment.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in television industry.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Radio/TV, or related discipline preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working at a computer.

  • Regularly stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.

  • Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

  • Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $125 000.00 annually for Washington. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
