About the Role

As the Vice President of Global Accounting, you will spearhead the comprehensive management and oversight of our financial accounting operations worldwide, ensuring impeccable adherence to international accounting standards and effective leadership of our global finance team.

To drive success in this role will require leading the development and analysis of financial reports in alignment with GAAP and IFRS, steering global financial consolidation, and driving strategic financial planning in sync with our corporate objectives. Your expertise will be crucial in managing financial risks, enhancing internal control frameworks, and cultivating a team culture rooted in collaboration, accountability, and continuous growth. You will also play a key role in optimizing financial processes, maintaining robust relationships with cross-functional teams, and staying at the forefront of accounting standards and regulations to guide your team's professional development.

This position demands a seasoned leader with a solid foundation in global accounting practices, a knack for strategic thinking and problem-solving, and exceptional communication skills to engage effectively across all organizational levels.

What will your day look like? You will
  • Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international accounting regulations and standards.
  • Oversee the global consolidation process, managing the accurate and timely consolidation of financial results from multiple entities and regions.
  • Coordinate with regional accounting teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify and assess financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential challenges.
  • Work closely with internal audit and compliance teams to ensure adherence to internal controls and policies.
  • Build out Internal Controls framework and processes
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing global accounting team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and enhance financial processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline global accounting operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure alignment in financial processes and reporting.
  • Interface with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Stay abreast of evolving accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Provide guidance and training to the accounting team to ensure ongoing professional development.
To help us level up, you'll ideally have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Extensive experience (typically 12+ years) in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, with a focus on global accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and other international accounting standards.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with Netsuite and advanced proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Payments and FX experience is highly valued.
  • CPA or equivalent preferred.

Salary Range

The base salary range for this role is between $245,000 and $333,000. The total compensation package also includes equity, and the opportunity for additional earnings through our annual bonus or variable commission plans.
