Job Summary: Engineer will configure, implement, and maintain a complex multi-network and multi-system in a virtualized architecture in a next generation training platform for a future Department of Defense (DoD) training environment. This is an on-site position, but it has the potential to expose the engineer to multiple technologies that connect to this architecture. The Engineer would be involved in designing, deploying, configuring, and managing virtualized resources of several servers, SANs, and networking environments. The Engineer will utilize VMware software tools for VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi infrastructure components. With that said, the Engineer needs to have experience in multiple technologies that are required by VMware. Candidates should also be able to configure Cisco network devices along with making configuration changes to a Windows Domain Controller. The Engineer will assist in troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis in the event of a patch, component, device, or system failure. Must be able to coordinate productively and diplomatically with vendors, team members, developers, contractors, and subcontractors. Must be a self-starter and able to prioritize multiple tasks on demand in a fast paced and constantly changing environment. In turn, must be flexible based on the requirements from the customer. Required Skillset:
• Implement VMware technology solutions for virtualization and storage

• Implement and maintain VMware ESXi operating on different servers

• Create, test, and deploy VMware vSphere environments

• Provide technical support to end users, operations, and management

• Perform system maintenance while maintaining availability for the end users

• Conduct technical investigations of different technologies connecting to the virtual environment

• Perform root cause analysis of customer or software developer reported issues

• Participate in Design decisions

• Advanced knowledge in VMware Networking, datastores, and SANs

• VMware Implementation of Cyber security policies and STIGs in conformance with the Authority to Operate (ATO) and Risk Management Framework (RMF)

• Experience in Windows Servers 2019 Domain Controllers

• Experience in configuring Cisco Network switches Preferred Skillset

• Cisco Firepower configurations

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, network file systems, web and mail servers.

• Familiar with monitoring software such as SolarWinds

• Windows multi forest architecture and domain trust implementation.

• Familiar with writing PowerShell scripts to modify, apply changes, and automation within Server 2019

• Technical writing experience, ability to create procedures and programs to automate repetitive processes.

• Create, edit, and apply Domain Level Group Policies.

• NTFS permissions and security within Active Directory environment.

• Trellix ePO and the implementation within VMware

• Creating diagrams and document configuration changes Required Education and Certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as IT, computer science, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university. (6 years' experience in lieu of degree)

• IAT Level II or greater. Security+, CISSP or other equivalent certification required

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) Preferred Qualifications:
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or other Network Related Certifications

• Microsoft Server 2019 Certifications
