Work Environment The work is performed in an office setting that is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. Work may also be performed in
warehouse environments and records storage areas. Protective clothing and gear and observance of safety precautions may be
required, depending on the type of work performed. Occasional travel may be required. Mission Statement: The mission of the FBI is to protect the American People and uphold the Constitution of the United States. Major Duties: Extracts, gathers, and analyzes the movement of virtual currency transactions. Tracks funds by funding source between various cryptocurrencies and blockchains, financial accounts, and physical locations. Researches/analyzes the value of various cryptocurrencies as well as the US dollar equivalency. Classifies, reconciles, records, and reports accounting data to ensure expenditures and obligations are in compliance with policies, procedures and regulations governing financial transactions. Researches and advises agents on trends, developments, and news in the cryptocurrency industry such as legal developments, wallet types, custodians, blockchains, and cryptocurrencies. Researched and analyzed various financial data to obtain information and determine any discrepancies.
Developed, maintained, and submitted financial reports.
GS 11: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 9 grade level. SE is defined as follows: Extracted, gathered, and analyzed various financial reports/data to compare financial assets and resolve issues and/or discrepancies.
Established and/or maintained effective internal controls over financial reporting methods.
Composed summaries and reports to present/brief management with recommendations to resolve difficult issues and/or changes in procedures. Education Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows: GS 9: Applicant must have a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. GS 11: Applicant must have a Ph.D. OR equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related. All degrees must be from an accredited college or university. Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above requirements provided you can show foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.
