Job Type Part-time Description Primary Location: Twentynine Palms, CA, US Must be a U.S citizen Security Clearance: Ability to Obtain a Secret Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is seeking a Video Editor SME to join the Team. The Video Editor Subject Matter Expert (SME) will be a member of the Drone/Video Support Team, which will serve to support the staff of MAGTF Training Command (MAGTFTC), Tactical Training Exercise Control Group (TTECG), aka the 'Coyotes', and Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group (MCTOG) as required. The incumbent will work with the Exercise Design and Control Staffs to advise on the development of a video support plan to enable the employment of the drone system in the most effective methods for capturing critical actions on the ground, while adhering to range and airspace safety regulations. The Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group (MCTOG) mission is to provide standardized advanced training and certification to Ground Combat Element (GCE) Operations Officers, Operations Chiefs, and select other GCE training specialists in GCE operations, combined arms planning and integration, and unit readiness planning at the company, battalion, and regiment levels to support GCE Training and Readiness (T&R) events. This person must be able to work successfully in a deadline oriented, fast paced environment. Key Accountabilities For up to four hours, receive encrypted, raw video footage. Remix the footage to a usable format in the desired video editing suite, edit it for useful content and present it within one hour of completion of receipt of the footage to the client.
Synchronize all video footage with other data captured during the training exercises on a continuous timeline.
Consult the Drone Team pilots and camera operators on recommended ways to capture footage that will result in the best product for the client.
Work within a team to deliver a time-sensitive and high-quality video.
Assist in the formal display of the final product in a presentation setting with cue points and advance/rewind the footage as required by the briefer. Upload and Archive finished products to cloud and local storage. Requirements Must have video editing skills for high definition video footage on multiple hardware and software platforms.
Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects and have a strong attention for detail.
Video production and webcast development experience.
Must be self-motivated in seeking out the latest technologies in aerial videography editing design.
Experience and Education BA/BFA, Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing or related business curriculum.
A minimum of 2 years' experience with Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar.
Must have a creative portfolio available for viewing.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment Physical ability to:
mount/dismount vehicles in a field environment
bivouac in field environment
climb/descend rocky mountainous terrain
perform job in hot desert environment ascend/descend multiple of flights of stairs in urban training environment
lift and carry up to 75 lbs over short distance (such as a loaded backpack)
Garrison work environment including but not limited to:
field/tactical environments
occasional extended working hours/overnight bivouac will be required during execution of Force on Force exercises.Travel Domestic travel may be required for training and program coordination.
