We are searching for our initial Area VP Sales to drive growth and build a sales team.
We are located in San Francisco. This can be a remote position with office visits as needed.

We are a leading company in the renewable energy industry, seeking a passionate and motivated individual to join our team as a VP Sales. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing our company's profitability and market presence by selling our top-of-the-line utility scale solar PV. This role offers a competitive salary, excellent commission structure, and the opportunity to be part of an industry that is shaping the future of energy.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive growth of utility scale solar PV
  • Expand team through the US through hiring sales representatives
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales of PV Solar equipment.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business relationships with current and prospective clients to generate new business for the organization's products.
  • Reach out to potential customers through cold calling, networking, and client referrals.
  • Deliver presentations and demonstrations of the latest PV Solar equipment to clients to showcase our products' effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Analyze the territory/market's potential, track sales, and create reports on sales activities and performance.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends in the solar energy industry.
  • Continuously improve through feedback and maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Utility Solar Sales, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Proven background of growing and managing sales teams
  • In-depth knowledge of PV Solar equipment and a solid understanding of the renewable energy industry.
  • Previous Solar sales at the Utility Level
  • Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build productive professional business relationships.
  • Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Familiarity with BRM and CRM practices along with the ability to build productive business professional relationships.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is preferred.
