Position Summary

As the Vice President of Supply Chain at Empower, you are poised to revolutionize our strategic sourcing initiatives, transforming the very backbone of our supply logistics to preemptively align with cutting-edge business forecasts and innovations. Your leadership will be pivotal in orchestrating the seamless procurement and supply of essential items across all Empower locations. By optimizing supplier processes and strategically managing resources, you will unlock unprecedented cost savings and efficiency, setting new standards in the healthcare supply chain sector.

In this role, you will harness the power of advanced data analytics to elevate our Sales-Operations-Planning, creating a synergy that enhances demand forecasting and supply planning at every level of the enterprise. Duties and Responsibilities
•   Responsible for developing strategic souring initiatives ensuring a multi-source supply strategy is adopted to accommodate a 3-year forecast without supply interruptions.
•   Oversees the procurement of all items required company-wide, ensuring the supplier qualification process supports facility-location and maximizes cost savings in the purchase of materials.
•   Proactively builds and maintains strategic relationships with key suppliers to secure preferential terms, ensure supply continuity, and foster innovation.
•   Ensures a cohesive Sales-Operations-Planning (S&OP), leveraging advanced data analytics for improved demand forecasting, supply planning, and proactive adjustment of supply chain strategies for the entire enterprise to include manufactured product and pharmacy retail distribution channels.
•   Responsible for the ERP implementation for all items pertaining to supply chain.
•   Develops and maintain an enterprise and site-specific logistics program, providing vendor management of the major couriers and ensuring shipping contracts and operations are optimized in practice.
•   Manages company-wide inventory levels to minimize waste while meeting operational needs, including end-to-end inventory counts for controlled substances and APIs.
•   Creates a cost-competitive sourcing program, ensuring measures are put in place to be aggressive in lowering the cost of materials across vendors, without compromise of quality.
•   Develops strategies for global supply chain optimization to navigate international regulations, minimize tariffs, and leverage global markets.
•   Develops robust risk management strategies to enhance supply chain resilience, identifying potential disruptions and implementing mitigation plans.
•   Responsible for and oversees logistics for all incoming materials and outgoing shipments, including import/export coordination.
•   Focuses on talent development to build a high-performing supply chain team, mentoring leaders, fostering continuous improvement, and ensuring up-to-date skills and knowledge.
•   Encourages collaboration between the supply chain and other departments (R&D, sales, finance) to align strategies, optimize processes, and drive innovation.
•   Ensures transparency across the supply chain to enhance traceability and build trust with customers.
•   Establishes a continuous improvement culture, regularly reviewing processes and implementing lean methodologies and innovative technologies.
•   Actively participates and leads supply chain teams during any regulatory audit.
•   Active participant in the strategic planning of non-standard dispensing/distribution practices that are not core to the business today.
•   Develops practices to minimize waste of materials, inventory, and work-in-progress goods.
•   Ensures timely delivery of materials to maintain customer satisfaction and a high level of customer experience.
•   Responsible for commercial drug purchasing from a centralized corporate level, enhancing commercial viability and site-operational execution for pharmacy retail and drug product distribution.
•   Creates strategies on reliability and exclusivity of raw materials.
•   Adds technology to site operations and shipping logistics.
•   Responsible for importation and exportation of goods.
•   Responsible for materials management and inventory accuracy across all sites.
•   Stays updated on and review supply chain practices for compliance with environmental policies, standards, regulations, and laws.
•   Leads supply chain-related systems and software, ensuring efficient management of critical information and enhancing operational efficiency.
•   Performs other duties as assigned. While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The noise level is the office environment is typically quiet, but the employee may occasionally be exposed to loud noises. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

•   Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred.
