Vice President of Finance
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our client's Executive Leadership Team as the Vice President of Finance. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the strategic and operational decisions for the organization and its future endeavors.
VP of Finance Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the daily operations of the finance department.
- Offer executive leadership in all finance-related matters.
- Monitor, control, and record all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, salaries, and expenses.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly financial reports in accordance with established accounting principles.
- Coordinate responsibilities and authority within the finance department.
- Assist in establishing and enforcing policies, rules, and internal controls to ensure profitability and operational control.
- Manage cash planning and optimize fund usage.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable aging and ensure adherence to billing and collection standards.
- Ensure timely deposit of taxes and filing of related reports.
- Maintain compliance with all contractual obligations.
- Supervise personnel-related actions, including hiring, commendations, discipline, and evaluations.
- Evaluate the performance of finance, purchasing, and IT personnel.
- Maintain close communication with internal and external auditors and address recommendations as necessary.
VP of Finance Requirements:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in finance management within the hospitality sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in hospitality executive leadership, including leading a finance or accounting team.
- Experience as a member of an executive leadership team.
