Responsibilities

Manage mortgage division and supervise personnel and their workflow, ensuring high morale, excellent customer service and maximum volume and profits.

  • Drive the team to reach productivity and quality goals.
  • Audit loan files to ensure the various reviews have been completed with accuracy.
  • Constantly analyze the current process for ways to increase productivity and quality while cutting costs.
  • Guide team members while they work with customers through the loan application process.
  • Handle customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them.
  • Manage day-to-day submission of FHA/VA/Conv loans by originators following Lennar Mortgage roadmap
  • Develop branch business through relationship and partnership skills with the builder's key leaders
  • Work with builder's key leaders on financial strategies for increasing sales and improving metrics
  • Attend/conduct meetings with the builder regarding backlog and status
  • Interview, test and hire new associates, as needed
  • Develop associates/teams for growth through coaching and leading
  • Delegate and review workflow and load balance
  • Communicate loan status updates to necessary parties
  • Attend status meetings, builder sales meetings, and company meetings, as needed
  • Responsible for regulatory compliance and quality control of the assigned division

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of management experience
  • 6+ years of mortgage experience, with a thorough understanding of mortgage loans
  • Previous experience as a Loan Officer and Loan Officer management
  • Familiarity with financial and lending practices
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and teammates
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Understanding of State, Local, and Federal compliance standards
  • Must be a self-starter and self-motivated to meet job expectations and goals
  • Must be able to motivate others to meet their job expectations and goals
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, and to manage multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Have previous Loan Officer experience and previous management experience
  • Have exceptional leadership skills
  • Be personable with a professional demeanor
  • Be organized, responsible, and able to use good judgment
  • Be able to positively provide coaching and feedback to team members
