OVERVIEW
The Vice President, State Tax Credit Equity will lead the state tax credit syndicationbusiness by developing and executing strategic plans aimed at fostering the growthand success of the state tax credit business line.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Review underwriting summaries for State Low Income Housing Tax Credit projects for investor review.
• Collect, analyze, and organize due diligence items for Investor reviews.
• Coordinate with internal closing team including closing draws, funding and ongoing portfolio management and investor relations support.
• Build out systems and processes to scale line of business.
• Other duties as assigned.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
• Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, economics, business, accounting, or related field (or equivalent industry-related experience).
• 5+ years' experience underwriting and closing state tax credit equity investments.
• Expertise in the state credit syndication market by leveraging extensive knowledge of each states credit profile.
• Proficient in state tax credit programs and structures, with extensive knowledge around the credit profiles of each state.
• Meticulously attentive to detail, possessing a comprehensive understanding of business processes and strategy formulation.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent time management, effective oral and written communication skills, and consistent follow-through on tasks in a timely manner.
