CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an employee-owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, is currently looking to fill a Vice President, Finance/Accounting & Controller position.
The Vice President, Finance & Accounting and Controller is the senior employee of the Finance and Accounting (ACC) Directorate. The Vice President, Finance & Accounting and Controller reports to the Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. The Vice President assists the Executive Vice President in the development and execution of financial strategy to sustain and grow the company. The Vice President acts as a Subject Matter Expert, Team Leader, and Mentor. Develops the technical and operational skills of the Director, Finance & Accounting and assists the Director in the development of processes and procedures and professional development of directorate employees. The Vice President manages systems and develops strategies to enable effective administration and management of financial activities. The Vice President ensures that corporate financial systems and reporting meet statutory, regulatory, and ethical standards.
Supervises the Director, Finance & Accounting to achieve corporate goals and to staff the Directorate to accomplish normal workload and special projects and professional development of all directorate personnel
Develops and executes financial strategies to grow and sustain the company and enable the financial activities required to sustain day-to-day operations
Designs and manages financial systems and manages interfaces with ancillary systems, including CostPoint, UKG payroll, and CALIBRE internal systems that affect finance and accounting
Ensures that the Directorate provides essential reporting to internal customers
o Operations reporting to Program and Project Managers, Directors, and VPs
o Management reporting to CEO, COO, CFO, other Corporate Officers, and other senior leaders
Manages the company's relationships with regulatory authorities (DCAA, DCMA, IRS, DOL, State Tax Authorities, etc.) and public auditors
Manages vendor relationships (accountants, ESOP trustee, ESOP valuator, ESOP and 401(k) administrators, lawyers, and other financial vendors)
Manages acquisition and maintenance of loans, lines of credit, and other credit facilities
Develops and oversees execution of the annual budget, indirect cost estimates, wrap rates, and other financial analyses
Present to the Board of Directors and Audit Committee on company financials and other accounting and finance related topics.
Oversees annual audits of financials, ESOP, 401(k), non-qualified retirement plan, and other required audits
Manages the financial component of all company benefits (ESOP, 401(k), non-qualified retirement plan, etc.)
Ensures that the company acts in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the Federal Acquisition Regulation
Ensures that Finance and Accounting Directorate complies with and supports the company's First Principles, Six Corporate Objectives, Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and other strategic goals and values
Completes Merger & Acquisition due diligence analyses and other M&A activities to advise the corporate Officers and Directors on potential M&A activity
Identifies, manages, and protects the company from financial risk
Protects and maintains corporate reputation and well-being
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills

Experience with and ability to rapidly apply knowledge of business operations in the government professional services market in order to permit the development of integrated solutions

Recognized expertise in ESOP, 401(k), Non-Qualified Retirement Plan, and other functional areas
Possesses Executive-level managerial and communication skills that allow for development, presentation, and promotion of integrated solutions to senior management

required Experience
Possesses a MA or MS degree in accounting and/or finance or an MBA from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
CPA Certification (preferred)
Expert in accounting field, normally 15 to 20 years of experience with 10 to 15 years of experience in government contract accounting
