New Opportunity Vibration Technician

NES Fircroft is actively seeking a CAT1 certified Vibration Technician in the Philadelphia area for our client, a major Oil/Gas Refinery located in Paulsboro, NJ.

This position will be a full-time contract opportunity which would likely be long-term in nature. Day to day role duties would consist primarily of providing technical support to the Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineers on site at the refiney.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize vibration expertise to provide guidance to plant personnel on equipment condition.
  • Perform routine data collection and call outs to support troubleshooting and equipment startup.
  • Utilize software to upload and download vibration route data, and report alarms and alerts.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and metrics for proactive identification and resolution of reliability issues and report on key issues.
  • Perform troubleshooting of equipment and instrumentation related to data collection systems.
  • Provide technical support to Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineers on mechanical repairs, troubleshooting problems, and equipment installation issues.
  • Provide assistance in the field during plant startups, shutdowns, or upsets.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum ISO CAT I vibration certified.
  • Demonstrated computer skills in Windows environment with experience in MS Word, Excel.
  • Experience with SKF preferred.
  • SAP maintenance management system is preferred.
  • Currently holds a TWIC or eligible for TWIC.
