VCA Northwest Veterinary Specialist is seeking a talented Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team and take on a leadership role as a Technician Supervisor, offering a unique opportunity for personal growth and development.

Schedule: Full-time opportunity, 4 x 10 hour shifts, Monday-Thursday. Availability for occasional weekend flexibility may be required

Compensation: $32 - 36 / hour. Pay is dependent on experience and licensure. Sign-on Bonus and Relocation Assistance up to $5000 available.

In the Certified Veterinary Technician Supervisor Role your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Directing workflow on the floor
Cultivate an inclusive work environment and strong hospital culture
Help with the interview process for potential new hires
Technician Scheduling
Assists in staffing and coverage where needed
Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills
Assists in basic protocol and standard procedure training
Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience
Ensure that VCA policies, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.
Work cohesively with hospital management and supervisory teams to aid in the progression of the hospital
Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience
Resolve conflicts in a professional and humble manner

You will work alongside our Medical Director, Hospital Director, and Veterinary Technician Managers to provide mentorship, ensure the hospital runs efficiently, and foster a winning environment.

Requirements: Must have a current veterinary technician license in the state or Oregon, or be eligible to transfer/obtain a license in Oregon. Minimum of 5 years experience preferred. Must possess skills in veterinary emergency and critical care nursing; organization and planning; verbal, written, and presentation communication skills; veterinary leadership, management, and supervision; and problem-solving.
