- Gathers and assesses information relative to the patients' age specific needs.
- Provides the care needed to achieve the desired clinical outcomes.
- Understands and modifies therapeutic approach in response to patients' nonverbal reactions to therapy, psychosocial needs, physical limitations and any other age or illness specific issues.
- Obtains pertinent clinical history and data, positions patient and selects ultrasonic technique to acquire Vascular Tests of diagnostic quality.
- Performs 2-D, Pulse Wave and Color Flow Doppler.
- Performs Upper & Lower Extremity Arterial Testing.
- Performs routine measurements and necessary hemodynamic calculations relating to pathology.
- Performs emergency studies as required.
- Maintains Vascular Lab records, including registration data log book and patient charges.
- Must work with and remain updated with the StudyCast system.
- Must be aware of and inform IT of issues immediately with uploading of data when there is a delay or the system is down.
- Participates in department QCI activities and team meetings.
- Fulfills the educational requirements of the clinic and all accreditation and licensing agencies governing the delivery of care; including, but not limited to, current CPR certification and attendance at mandatory office in-services.
- Performs other work related duties as assigned or requested.

- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
- Previous experience in vascular testing required.
- Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), registered with the American Registry and Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) preferred, or eligible for registry.
- High degree of technical aptitude.
- Capable of working independently.
- Good communication skills.
