Job Summary:

The Vascular Surgeon will provide high-quality, comprehensive vascular surgical care to patients at Humboldt Park Health. The surgeon will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to diagnose and treat a variety of vascular conditions, including peripheral arterial disease, venous disease, and vascular trauma. The ideal candidate would be committed to excellence in patient care, clinical innovation, and advancing health equity.


Responsibilities:

- Perform a wide range of vascular surgical procedures, including endovascular and open surgical techniques.

- Evaluate and manage patients with vascular conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

- Collaborate with referring physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care for patients.

- Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and contribute to the development of treatment plans.

- Provide patient education and counseling on vascular health and disease prevention.

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.

- Contribute to the education and training of medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.


Qualifications:

- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.

- Board certification or eligibility in Vascular Surgery.

- Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Illinois.

- Minimum of 2 3 years of experience in vascular surgery preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

- Demonstrated commitment to advancing health equity and providing culturally competent care.

- Excellent clinical and surgical skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
