Sun River Health is looking to hire a full time Vaccine Program Coordinator (LPN). The Vaccine Program Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Nurse Manager of Vaccine Programs and closely with Sun River Health or P.C. locations to support a safe, compliant, and fiscally sound vaccination program. The position will include health center support in inventory management, training, and coordination of meeting requirements for New York City, New York State, and federal (HRSA) Vaccine Program requirements. Job Competencies and Responsibilities: Assist with completing monthly reporting of vaccine accountability, vaccine ordering, and reconciling in EMR, NYSIIS, and CIR. Provide quality assurance of immunization administration and vaccine usage. Report to Nurse Manager of Vaccine Programs any concerns. Maintain an awareness of current immunizations, to include proper sites and dosages, assuring that they remain current with best practices and studies. Participate in offsite clinics (Flu, Back to School, TB, etc.) in all Sun River Health regions (may include after-hours and weekends). Assist with community presentations and health fairs (may include after-hours and weekends). Administer vaccines and medications, completes documentation with accuracy, following Sun River Health's protocols. Create vaccine training material and conduct educational training sessions as instructed. Will complete all duties assigned by the Nurse Manager of Vaccine Programs following the NYS LPN full scope of practice. Maintain an inventory of the various drugs and supplies required for use; responsible for ordering and tracking all vaccines. Assist with maintaining an inventory of the various vaccines required for use. Communicate with staff regarding immunization changes and new products and procedures as needed. Maintain professional competence through participation in staff development and educational training. Must be able to travel to sites within all SRH regions. Performs other duties as assigned or required. Required Education/Experience: Graduate of a Vocational / Technical School / Diploma Program Major: Practical Nursing Active NYS LPN licensure Minimum of 3 years' experience working with vulnerable populations Proficient in clinical skills such as vaccine administration for all ages following appropriate route and injection site, venipuncture, and point of care testing EMR experience required Up to 50% travel to local SRH sites Sun River Health is a network of over 40 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) providing primary, dental, pediatric, OB-GYN, and behavioral health care to over 245,000 patients annually.
