Position Title: Utility Worker PART-TIME Weekends included FLSA Status: Non- Exempt Department: Dining Supervisor Title: Executive Chef I. POSITION OBJECTIVE Follows State regulations for sanitation to prevent and/or eliminate the spread of bacteria. Completes daily cleaning assignments within proper time frame. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Ensures excellent customer service is provided to residents, family members, guests, and staff. Cleans floors and walls in kitchen and cafeteria. Cleans small and large kettles, steamers and carts daily. Cleans dish machine after each use and lets the parts air dry. Cleans all service ware including pots and pans. Stores all tableware and other items in proper area. Properly disposes of trash after each meal. Delivers food carts and nourishments to all dining service areas. Assist in dining room and bistro areas. Collects soiled dishes throughout the dining room and stacks items in bus pans. III. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. IV. KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum completion of eighth grade or equivalent experience. Must be able to follow written and oral directions. V. LICENSES/ CERTIFICATIONS Must obtain all local, state, and federal food safety certifications; including but not limited to Serv Safe certification within one year of hire. All certifications must be current while employed. Copies of certification(s) must be provided to the Department and Human Resources. VI.
