Paid Time Off (PTO) program Overview Works on construction projects, usually working in utility capacity, by transferring from one task to another where demands require worker with varied experience and ability to work without close supervision by performing the following duties. Roles & Responsibilities Occasionally performs general laboring duties, such as shoveling and raking stone, gravel, earth, and topsoil material. Signals operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery. Occasionally directs and guides traffic through the construction job site using proper equipment and procedures. Regularly erects, positions and moves sign packages in a safe, accurate manner, adhering to state specifications. Move traffic control devices regularly lifting 30 lbs and occasionally 100 lbs. Performs miscellaneous responsibilities as requested by the Project Manager or Foreperson to ensure smooth operation and to learn all areas of construction operations. Operates various pieces of equipment, including power broom, jack hammer, pumps, pipe saw, chain saw, vibratory roller, and hand compactor. Performs daily preventative maintenance of equipment, including inspecting lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water on previously mentioned equipment. May drive a pickup truck to transport materials to and from specified destinations in a safe and efficient manner. Ability to follow directions. Other Requirements Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, inspectors, engineers, and the general public at all times. Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required. Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary. Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in company policy and OSHA/MSHA regulations.
