Affinity group for women (dependent on location) On the job training Responsibilities Associates to perform all safety checks at the start of their shift on all cranes and tools and document this as necessary. Continue to perform safety checks throughout the shift. Employees shall abide by all safety rules and regulations while operating equipment which include ensuring prospering guarding is in place. Select specific raw materials to produce pressure vessels and ensure that materials meet job requirements. Load and unload materials into machines and adjusts machine for specific jobs including choosing correct jigs, saws, and machines. Maintain safe working practices for machine operating applications. Properly complete all paperwork associated with machine operating activities and input data into the computer. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job routings. Responsible for the blasting of raw materials, and finished products, blackjack, or metallic grit. The blaster prepares a variety of parts for painting or assembly by grit blasting. Stripping of materials using grit, aluminum oxide or other media on tanks and other parts by directing flow of girt on metal parts to remove sand, rust and dirt. Responsible for the extraction of bland parts from sheet steel, plate steel, pipe, or other miscellaneous materials, using either air/plasma, or oxy/acet thermal cutting process. Material handling - operation of cranes, hoist, and forklifts when necessary. Also successfully complete any training/safety program relating to the operation of the equipment. The proper use of air/plasma, and Oxy/Acet thermal cutting machinery. Education and Certifications Must have either a High School diploma, GED, or at least 1 year working experience in an industrial based environment. Qualifications Ability to work will in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations. Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures. Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job. Must have a basic understanding of computers. Must have reading, writing and simple math skills. Must be able to read blueprints. Good communication skills. Successfully be trained on the machines to be operated using the equipment below: Break Press Band Saw Data Plate machine Forklift Respirator and blasting hood. Respiratory must be medically cleared. Basting equipment, blower, shaker, and various related machinery. Plasma burning table. Pneumatic tools Work experience in related industry is an asset but even if you do not have this, we still want you to apply. On the job training will be provided.
