Job Details:
We are on the hunt for a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Utility Estimator to join our thriving team in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating underground utilities, sanitary sewer, steel water main, and tunneling projects. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, has a knack for numbers, and is well-versed in the bidding process. You will be responsible for preparing comprehensive estimates and bids for projects while maintaining the highest level of integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities:
1. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for underground utilities, sanitary sewer, steel water main, and tunneling construction projects.
2. Review and evaluate project plans and specifications, bid documents, and other relevant project documents to identify what is needed for a project and to create a bid proposal.
3. Utilize Primavera P6 for project scheduling and management.
4. Analyze and compile estimate data that impact the cost of labor, materials, equipment, and production.
5. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide clear and detailed project estimates.
6. Participate in the presentation of project proposals and negotiate contracts.
7. Manage the hard bid process and lead the pre-construction team.
8. Keep track of the latest industry trends and advancements in construction estimating techniques.

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Utility Estimator in the Construction industry.
2. Proficiency in estimating underground utilities, sanitary sewer, steel water main, and tunneling projects.
3. Expertise in using Primavera P6 for project scheduling and management.
4. Solid understanding of the hard bid process and experience in leading a pre-construction team.
5. Excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset.
6. Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
7. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
