Unit Manager RN or LPN

North Olmsted Nursing & Rehabilitation provides long-term care, skilled rehabilitation, intensive outpatient care, and dementia focused care. We provide a full team approach in our resident care with support from our Charge Nurses, Unit Managers and Director of Nursing.

We are currently seeking an experienced full-time Unit Manager to join our team. The Unit Manager will be accountable for all operational aspects of the unit(s), including staffing, management, and coordination of nursing service activities for the scheduled shift to ensure quality care for our residents. Strong communications and relations with other shifts for continuity of care is required, as well as the ability to interact positively with residents, families and other healthcare professionals.

DUTIES:

  • Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the assigned unit.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations and facility policies and procedures.
  • Evaluates complaints and grievances made or filed by staff. Makes appropriate reports to the Director of Nursing as necessary.
  • Ensures adequate medical supplies (medication, equipment, etc.) are maintained within the unit at all times to adequately meet the needs of residents.
  • Assists in the development of written assessments of the nursing needs of each resident.
  • Assigns nurses and aides appropriately.
  • Reviews nurses' notes to ensure they provide a complete assessment of the nursing care being provided, reflect the resident's response to the care, and that such care is provided in accordance with the resident's wishes.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two years supervisory experience in a Skilled Nursing/LTC care facility
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Ohio
