UNIT Deployment Manager with Security Clearance

Duties Develop, plan and conduct training and evaluations needed to assess readiness, mobility, and deployment requirements; functions as Unit Deployment Manager (UDM) in the formulation of squadron readiness capability. Plan, organize, and oversee all deployment activities. Utilizes Logistics Module (LOGMOD) to monitor and track unit status during deployments and exercises. Plan and schedules personnel deployment/redeployment processing within the Installation Personnel Readiness (IPR) office and ensures a smooth and orderly flow of deployment personnel. Perform analysis activities. Establishes metric and system analysis systems for unit and higher-level management to assess the efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with regulatory procedures. Provide technical guidance and recommendations regarding status of deployment actions, deployment dates, deployment shortfalls as required, and unit personnel readiness to senior leadership regarding unit deployment program. Ensures the unit is ready to meet wartime and peacetime mobility taskings by scheduling and tracking unit deployment training. Required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties: however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities Must obtain and maintain a secret security clearance Males must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide The incumbent will be required to complete mandatory UDM training to include IDS/LOGMOD training, AEF Reporting Tool (ART) training, and Pallet Build-Up/Hazardous Cargo Preparation training Recruitment and relocation Incentive may be authorized for this position This position may be designated mission essential based on local conditions. Mission essential personnel report for duty at normal times when the base is closed or delayed reporting, and remain on duty during phased or early release Incumbent may be required to work other than normal duty hours to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays Shift work and emergency overtime may be required Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Technical and Medical Support Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level which equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to successfully perform the duties of the position being filled. Specialized experience is experience which may have been gained while assisting with providing support to accomplish a variety of duties related to program management for all aspects of medical readiness administration and studying, evaluating and analyzing a wide variety of issues of a procedural nature regarding deployment program and operation. OR EDUCATION: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D in a major study related to the position being filled. Knowledge of medical operations and management principles, policies and procedures and a comprehensive knowledge of medical plans, programs, and requirements. 2. Knowledge of medical service mission, organization, programs, and functions to include carrying out medical training and administrative programs to ensure medical mission can be effectively accomplished. 3. Knowledge of medical administrative programs throughout to conduct studies, analyze findings and make recommendations on substantive program changes within the squadron. 4. Knowledge of enlisted medical training and skill level requirements for medical services sustainment training program, annual training program and unit scheduling program. 5. Skill and ability to prepare project and staff reports and to deliver briefings to high level officials both civilian and military.
