Unified Communications Technician

PlanIT Group is hiring a mobile Unified Communications Technician; Avaya Blue, in Fresno, CA.

Job Details

Standard Hours: Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:00pm

Location: Mobile - Fresno, CA (supporting sites averaging up to 30 miles; max up to 150 miles)

Requirements

Must be comfortable working in Prison locations

Contract to hire; review after 91 calendar days

Weekly hours can vary, as this is dispatch work

Lift certification or willingness to obtain certification required

Ability to prioritize work orders

Flexible to supporting Client sites within 150 miles of Fresno (average travel radius will be up to 30 miles from Fresno)

Proof of a valid Driver's license and good driving record that shows they can safely drive a Black Box company vehicle.

Has the required tools and PPE: Hard hat, vest, steel or composite toed boots, crimper; Punch tool; Toner & Probe; & Snips.

Required skillset/experience: Minimum 2 years

Installation, maintenance, programming, troubleshooting of Avaya Blue (a.k.a. Nortel) PBX system and products.

Installation and troubleshooting of CAT 5/CAT 6e copper cabling

Superb customer service skills

Experience with Microsoft Outlook required

Ability to send/receive emails

Ability to save and attach documents.
