Job Summary and Qualifications As an Ultrasound Tech, you will perform duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures using Ultrasound for the purpose of detecting pathology. You will regulate the equipment used to produce the ultrasound and send images to PACS and also assist in the daily operation of the Ultrasound Department. Tasks and responsibilities, you will: Performs diagnostic procedures applying prescribed methods of ultrasound technique Produces diagnostic images using Doppler, abdominal or pregnancy ultrasound Selects transducer and adjusts equipment controls according to organ to be examined, depth of field, and other specifications of test Assists physician with ultrasound-guided biopsies and/or invasive procedures Maintains and calibrates equipment Assists with transporting patients What qualifications you will need: High School Diploma/GED Graduate of an accredited program in Ultrasound Technology Program Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Registered Radiographer (ARRT Certification) BLS Healthcare Provider 0-2 years of hospital experience preferred HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is a 380-bed acute-care hospital.
