Ultrasound Tech

Here are Nuvance Health we are seeking to add an experienced Sonographer to our growing per diem team. Our Medical Sonographers ( Ultrasound Technician , Diagnostic Medical technologist , Radiological Tech ) provide health care services applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Our sonographers perform ultrasonic imaging and related procedures in the following areas: OB/GYN, abdomen, pediatric extremities and vascular procedures. Job Summary: Performs diagnostic ultrasonic procedures for the diagnosis of disease, in accordance with established protocols. Duties: Explains the test to the patient Instructs and assists the patient in assuming the physical position for examination. Able to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure - makes appropriate physician contact for intervention. Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors. Selects a transducer and adjusts the equipment controls according to the organ to be examined, the depth of field and other specifications of test Obtains permanent record of internal examination by adhering to PACS/Archive protocol. Requirements : Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, but not required. Current BLS/CPR certification will be required before orientation Must have at least 1 year of prior experience Registered with EITHER: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography(ARDMS) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists(ARRT):RT(S) Cardiovascular Credentialing International(CCI): RVS. Position overview: Location: Sharon Hospital Work Type: Per-Diem Standard Hours: Day shifts 8 hours through out the week Salary Range: $31.25 - $58.05/ hr based on years of experience Department: Ultrasound Benefits: 401k matching.
