Shift: Rotating shifts (8:00am - 8:00pm) including rotating weekends and holidays Day Shift 7:30am- 4:00pm Evenings 3:00pm-11:30pm Nights 11:30pm- 6:00am Rotating weekends and holidays among the team Some weekend and evening hours on rotational basis. About the Job In this role, the Sonographer (Ultrasound), under the general supervision of an attending radiologist, and in accordance with department protocols, will utilize high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques to produce and evaluate ultrasound images and related data, which is used by physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis resulting in quality patient care. What you will do Performs and demonstrates competence in ultrasonic scanning procedures by producing, assessing and evaluating ultrasound images and related data that are used by physicians to render a medical diagnosis Recognizing, identifying and appropriately documenting normal anatomy, abnormalities, disease, pathology and pathophysiology for accurate medical diagnosis. Performing all types of ultrasound procedures and services, in accordance with department protocol, to ensure appropriate patient care for patients in all age categories (neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric). Completing ultrasonic scans within given procedure time parameters when performing ultrasonic scans to expedite patient care. Here is what you will need Minimum Required: Associate Degree Specific Degree(s): AAS in Radiologic Technology 1-2 years of previous job-related experience Licensure/Certifications Required: CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) from American Heart Association only Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) Other: Registration within one year of hire in a minimum of one to two specialties of either Abdomen and/or Obstetrics & Gynecology required New Graduates: Obtain certification with 6 months of hire. Preferred: Registration in both Abdomen and Obstetrics & Gynecology preferred.
