Ultrasound Tech

Job Description The ultrasound technologist at Lake Granbury Medical Center is expected to explain and perform examinations on patients and accurately determine the appropriate software and transducer that is required to perform the examinations. Ultrasound technologists are expected to select the proper file formatting/annotation for an examination. The ultrasound technologist is expected to properly adjust each image to complete examinations as well as monitor film quality. The ultrasound technologist is expected to utilize discretion to protect patient privacy and work in a manner to eliminate delays in patient care. This role works under the director of radiology. Education: The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound and be registered with ARDMS. Shift: The hours for this position are PRN and will be in both a hospital and outpatient setting.
