We are currently seeking a full-time Ultrasound Coordinator. The Ultrasound Supervisor performs exams and oversees day to day operations of ultrasound department in Imaging and Breast Care including patient flow and quality assurance. This role is responsible for monitoring exams and/or CR images, assuring high quality following established departmental and QA protocols using independent judgment and initiative. This position provides input back and data relative to staff regarding individual exam and/or image for QA purposes. The Supervisor performs sonography which meet the department standard of quality as required. Directly supervises clinical staff within the department- Develops New Employee Orientation within department. Performs initial and regular competencies of clinical staff to assure clinical standards are met and maintained. Facilities annual evaluations of staff. Mentors and counsels staff to include initiating performance Improvement plans. Assures adequate staffing levels based on physician to staff ratio. Develops and publishes the ultrasound schedules. Ensures coverage of afterhours emergency response with on-call schedule management. Coordinate and conduct regular staff meetings. Collaborates with Department Director on designing, implementing and sustaining workflows to improve the practice daily, operational efficiency, provider and staff satisfaction and patient experience. Acts as first line resource for staff and physicians. Foster intra-departmental support and collaboration. Champions organizational and departmental quality care initiatives. Communicates with patients to address and resolve patient complaints. Distributes practice management reports as directed by Practice Manager. Coordinates and /or monitors staffing hours and payroll records to minimize overtime while maintaining adequate staffing levels. Serves as ergonomic liaison. Coordinate hiring and performance management of technical staff Support of ACR accreditation process: Mammography and Ultrasound Facilitate proper equipment maintenance. Acts as a resource and facilitator regarding compliance with Ultrasound policies and procedures. Policy and procedure review, including development of supportive workflows. Collaborate with Department Director in developing, implementing, and monitoring the budget. Perform duties of Department Director in their absence Represent the Department Director at assigned meetings and other internal/external activities. /Licensure/Certifications/Qualifications: Bachelor degree preferred. Graduate of an ultrasound Technology Program Serving in a former Lead or Supervisory role preferred Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) ARDMS certification in multiple modalities Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate obtained within 4 months of hire and maintained thereafter.
